AS THE NORTH SHORE TURNS.... GARRETT MCNAMARA GETS A CHANCE TO SURF FOR EDDIE!!!

After spending the entire month of November in Nazare, Portugal, exploring one of the eight wonders of the world, Garrett McNamara returned home to Hawaii.

" 9 months of my life are invested each year to travel around the world in search of giant waves and new spots, but nothing gives me more pleasure than to return home to Hawaii, the birthplace of big waves, especially this time of year. The waves here are so ingrained in my life like the simple act of eating, without them I could not survive!"

This winter season is even more special for Garrett, being one of only 28 surfers  in the world invited to participate in the 25th edition Quiksilver Eddie Aikau. " My love for big waves started at Waimea so there is no greater honor then to surf in memory of one of the greatest waterman to ever live and who embodied the aloha spirit."

Aside from intense training, Garrett will also be watching for the giant swells to hit so that he can compete in the Jaws event,Haleiwa Tow Surfing Championships and SUP World Tour. As always he will be ready to fly to Maverick's and a few secret spots when the ocean calls.
